In South Africa it is compulsory to have a learners licence before learning how to drive. You may either apply for a Light Motor vehicle (LMV), Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) or motorcycle licence. The LMV and HMV are commonly known as code 8 and code 10 or code 14, respectively. See “Our Rides” for descriptions. In order to obtain the learner’s licence you need to pass a multiple choice questionnaire. At Easy Way Driving School we provide our clients with study material in order to better prepare them for the actual test at the Traffic Department. Even if you cannot read or write we have friendly staff that can assist in the preparation of an oral test.
